Part of a project exploring everyday disposable objects that are typically discarded without a second thought. By transforming a straw and a toothpick into handcrafted pieces made of 14K gold, the project challenges perceptions of value, permanence, and materiality. It questions how our relationship to an object changes when a temporary, low-value item is recreated using a precious and enduring material.

BIRDING

02 BIRDING TABLEWEAR
In my project Birding, I engage in the search for a home. I focus on elements of family life, such as shared meals, cutlery, and plates. Through images that remind me of home, I arrived at birds, symbolizing family, migration, my desire to belong to a flock, and the distances I must cross to find my path home. Shifts between past and present create moments where longing remains unfulfilled, despite my tireless preparation. I imagine the table as reflecting my feelings. The work deals with memory, distance, and the intimate gestures that shape a sense of home.

JUDAICA
Havdalah Spice Container (Besamim Vessel)

Created as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional spice container used during the Jewish Havdalah ceremony. Havdalah marks the transition between Shabbat and the new week, serving as a ritual separation between the sacred and the ordinary. During the ceremony, fragrant spices (besamim) are smelled as a symbolic way of carrying the spirit and comfort of Shabbat into the days ahead.

This piece is crafted from silver coated with cold enamel and contains an orange fragrance.

06 “OUR TIMELINE”

A Handcrafted Kinetic time Object
Suspended in mid-air, "Our Timeline" is a physical reflection on distance and connection between a mother and her two daughters living across an 8-hour time difference. The piece consists of two handless copper watches that form a split sphere, shifting the focus from traditional timekeeping to moments of emotional overlap.
Each watch represents a different time zone, marked by a matte pink enamel stripe. When the pieces rotate and the pink lines align, they reveal the precise, fleeting window of time where all three can connect. The hidden Middle Eastern-style filigree core, exposed only through the split, symbolizes their deeply shared heritage and unbreakable bond despite the geographical divide.
